LG G7 ThinQ is a smart and top-notch phone with amazing audio, solid metal and glass design, and a bright and clear display. The LG G7 is packed with high-end specifications and it features a gigantic battery life along with a modern design. The phone is affordable too as compared to other outright phones and yet equipped with all the amazing features that are needed to compete with other big brands. Though this phone is not the latest one released by LG after the release of LGV40, it is one of the smartest and newest phones released this year. If you’re looking forward to buying LG G7 ThinQ this concise yet comprehensive review will help you in making an informed decision.
Design
LG phones are never so good when we talk about their designs but G7 is better looking. You’ll find Gorilla glass 5 at the rear of the device and there is a metal rim that adds rigidity to it. Since it is a glass-backed device, the fingerprints get easily smudged on the surface. There are two cameras at the rear and a circular fingerprint scanner with an LG G7 ThinQ logo. It has a notch which is present on the top of the screen housing the earpiece and the front camera. The sleep/wake button is present on the side and there is a chin at the bottom too. The phone has an IP68 resistance and a 3.5 mm headphone jack present.
Display
The display is a 6.1-inch super bright LCD which allows you to view your phone easily when you’re out of the house. The screen has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 which allows you to view crisp and clear images and videos. The display is a quad-HD resolution with a 100% coverage for the DCI-P3 color gamut. The bezels are thin but since the areas around the notch are black it looks like a normal bezel. The panel is colorful and sharp to look at and the 1440X3120 pixels resolution makes it brighter and crispier.
Boombox Speaker
The LG G7 features a Quad DAC and there is a headphone jack along with the support for DTS.X 3D sound. There is a surround sound technology which is quite similar to Dolby Atmos. The Boombox speaker is, however, one of the newest and most unique features of the phone. The phone’s IP68 waterproof seal is linked to the Boombox functionality and it can affect the performance of the speaker if the seal is broken.
AI and Battery Life
The LG G7 ThinQ has a dual camera setup with a super bright camera mode that is very helpful in low light conditions and night-time shootings. The camera is of 16MP with a f/1.6 aperture which is paired with another wide-angle camera of 16MP and an aperture of f/1.9. The camera is amazingly versatile particularly because of the wide-angle mode, as it allows you to take photos of 107 degrees. The portrait mode adds a blur effect which allows you to take gorgeous DSLR type images. In a crowd of so many mobile phones outright, G7 is a choice.
